To ensure that your YouTube account is Hangout Millionaire ready, you need to make sure that you have verified the account and enabled live streaming.
I’ll be showing you the steps on how to do this:
Open Internet Explorer and log in to YouTube.
Click on the Profile icon on the top right of the page then click on Creator Studio. Make sure that there is already a channel created.
If there’s a channel created, let’s go to Live Events. Click on Enable live streaming button. We’ll be getting an Account Verification Page. We need to enter a phone number to get the account verified. There are 2 options to do this: 1. Via Phone Call or 2. SMS.
Please note that we need to verify the YouTube account in order to be able to use this account in Hangout Millionaire.
You may use any phone number that you have. If you have exhausted your phone numbers, here are several options you can get phone numbers from:
– K7.net
– LaserVoiceMail.com
– prepaid mobile phone numbers
For this tutorial, I’ll be selecting the SMS option. Text me the verification code. I’ll be entering my prepaid mobile phone number and hit Submit.
Once I’ve received the text message, I’ll enter the verification code and hit Submit.
Now I’m getting the Verified page. Congratulations your YouTube account is now verified.
Click Continue.
You’ll now get the Terms and conditions page. Click on I agree.
Now, we have successfully enabled our YouTube channel for live streaming.

Next, we’ll test if the Hangout screenshare works. You can open any video that you have on your computer. I’ll just open one of the test videos I have created with HOM.
So here’s a video playing. I’ll just adjust the settings to 50%
Next, let’s click on the green Screenshare icon. This is the 2nd icon found on the left side of the screen.
Once, you’ve click on Screenshare, you should get an icon flashing on the bottom of the screen, click on it. You’ll get another pop-up window, click on Windows Media Player. Click on Start Screenshare.
You should see the video playing in Windows Media Player and a video inside the Hangout page playing. If you see this, it means it’s successful and High Quality Hangouts will now work. You may now close the windows.

We’ll upload a test video. Enter a Title, Description, and Tags. Then click on Publish.
Our video is now successfully published.
